As the Florida Gator coach, he ran up the score against his opponents.
His quarterbacks tend to be busts in the NFL.
He is hated by many college football fans.
Other coaches nicknamed him 'Captain Shinypants.'
He occasionally screamed at the refs and his players.
He left the powerhouse Florida Gators for the Washington Redskins only to have both of his seasons, losing ones.
He may have won the Heisman Trophy because he was a Southern white boy. His opponent was Leroy Keyes, an outstanding African-American running back for Purdue. This was during the time of civil rights unrest.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a passing offense mastermind.
He won six SEC Titles with the Florida Gators.
He won the 1996 National Championship with Florida by whomping their arch rival Florida State 52-20.
He won an ACC Title at Duke (Talk about next to impossible!)
The 1996 Florida Gators were arguably the best offense in college football history.
