Why he might be annoying:

He did awful in his rookie season with a 5.48 ERA in 12 starts.
He was traded to the Braves because the Tigers wanted to be playoff contenders in 1987.
He had a bad postseason in 1995, the year the Braves won the World Series.
He has a very grungy beard.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the second player to have over 150 wins and over 150 saves.
In high school, he played basketball and baseball.
Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and himself were considered some of the best pitchers in the 1990's. All three spent most of the 90's on the Braves.
In his first season as a closer, he broke the National League record for most saves in a season with 55 (2002).
He is one of the most successful postseason pitchers in baseball history.
He was part of one of baseball's most successful dynasties.
