Their money consulting segment is badly punned as 'Dollars and Sense.'
Why did CNN need another news network anyway?

It employs the very attractive Erica Hill.
It films an educational news service designed for students called 'CNN Student News.'
It provides pretty strong competition to the other cable news networks.
It is popular in bars and airports for people who only have time to watch the news for a few minutes and don't need full-blown coverage.
It almost reported a rumor that George Bush was dead, but was able to find a find correction to the story just before it was announced on the air.
It has been able to maintain a reputation besides 'CNN's other network.'
