TV Network
    (January 1, 1982- )
    Born in Atlanta, Georgia
    24-hour news network
    Spin-off of CNN
Launched as 'CNN2' before changing its name to 'Headline News'
Features programs 'Showbiz Tonight', 'Prime News Tonight' and 'Nancy Grace'
It gives Nancy Grace and Glenn Beck a chance to spew their obnoxious and unwelcome opinions.
It was a very reliable network before they started doing tabloid entertainment.
They came up with the concept of rerunning crap from earlier in the day to save money on staff and production.
They've redesigned their screen layout several times in a tacky, ugly, and messy matter.
Their money consulting segment is badly punned as 'Dollars and Sense.'
Why did CNN need another news network anyway?
It employs the very attractive Erica Hill.
It films an educational news service designed for students called 'CNN Student News.'
It provides pretty strong competition to the other cable news networks.
It is popular in bars and airports for people who only have time to watch the news for a few minutes and don't need full-blown coverage.
It almost reported a rumor that George Bush was dead, but was able to find a find correction to the story just before it was announced on the air.
It has been able to maintain a reputation besides 'CNN's other network.'
