Forward for the New York Rangers (1985-86), Washington Capitals (1986-94), Toronto Maple Leafs (1994-95) and the Vancouver Canucks (1995-97)

Why he might be annoying:

He initially never intended on playing professional hockey.
Despite posting solid numbers, he received little exposure as a result of playing in Washington.
He was overshadowed by Dale Hunter, Joe Juneau and Michal Pivonka as the top line centerman in Washington.
He struggled to adapt to Pat Burns hard nosed coaching style, which played a factor in his departure from Toronto.
He attempted to make a comeback in the International Hockey League, which only lasted four games.

Why he might not be annoying:

He defied the odds and played professional hockey, after a debilitating injury that cost him two years of development.
He was the first University of Manitoba alumni to make it from the school to the NHL.
He established himself as a productive playmaker upon being traded to Washington.
He posted solid numbers for the Canucks, despite playing with a bulging disk in his back.
He scored the first Canucks goal in the history of General Motors Place (now Rogers Arena) (1995).
