Why he might be annoying
On his website he states: 'Ever since I was a kid I have always dreamed of owning a deli/fountain shop. Maybe it was because I enjoyed food so much.'
He sometimes seems oblivious to Letterman's jokes.
He is very agreeable.
A previous owner, not him, came up with the deli's name, a clever take-off of the musical 'Hello Dolly!'
Why he might not be annoying
He was born and raised in the United States by Chinese parents.
He is modest and doesn't want to hire an agent to represent him, saying, 'I have no talent for show business.'
He has been willing to carry out Dave's jokes on unsuspecting New Yorkers.
He has a degree in economics from City College of New York.
At the end of most of his 'Late Show' segments at Hello Deli, he is visited by a couple of models.
