Why they might be annoying
While Brandon was working as a bellboy at the Gold Coast Hotel, Morrissey's band came in and when he went to check the luggage, he found a CD of Morrissey's not-yet-released album, 'You Are the Quarry.' He called Ronnie over to the hotel to burn the cd, but it was just a bunch of instrumental tracks.
Dave attended Kirkland Community College and the University of Iowa, dropping out of both.
They appeared on and performed several songs on the drama, 'The OC.'
Why they might not be annoying
They were among ten music finalists to win the Shortlist Music Prize (2004).
Their influences range from New Order, Oasis, The Smiths, Duran Duran, Psychedelic Furs and The Cure.
Brandon has the ability to take the voices of his influences and create a faux-British accent while singing.
Even though he likes to have fun and party, Brandon still follows the Mormon lifestyle.
Brandon admired his older brother while growing up, getting the majority of his musical tastes from him.
While flying from the US to the UK, they had a near death experience when their airplane hit an air pocket.
Unlike most rock bands, they do not have groupies and drugs backstage after concerts.
Theyt debuted at #1 in the UK
