He abused drugs such as Ecstasy and Ketamine, an animal tranquilizer.
He appeared several times on 'Geraldo' as one of New York City's outrageous 'club kids.'
He wore clown outfits with his ass exposed.
He allegedly sold a German youth as a sex slave to another party promoter.
Some of the events at Alig's parties included a woman who humped an amputee's stump and a man who drank his own urine.
In 1996, he and roommate Robert 'Freez' Riggs killed their drug dealer Angel Melendez over an unpaid drug debt. The duo smothered Angel, injected Drano into his veins, chopped off his legs, then threw his remains into the Hudson River.
He turned a straight man, DJ Keoki, gay.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was charismatic.
His party locations were creative, including a get-together at the McDonald's in Times Square and a soiree on a subway.
Macauley Culkin won acclaim for his portrayal of Alig in 'Party Monster.'
Alig was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in jail for the murder of Angel Melendez.
