TV Reality Show Contestant

The Resume

    (February 6, 1984- )
    Born in Tacoma, Washington
    Michael F. Stagliano
Former break-dance instructor, acoustic guitarist, and singer/songwriter
Contestant on 'The Bachelorette'; finished 7th on Jillian Harris' season (Summer, 2009)
Won Season 2 of 'Bachelor Pad,' winning $250,000 with partner and ex-fiancé Holly Durst (Summer, 2011)
Returned as a contestant on 'Bachelor Pad 3,' this time finishing 11th before being eliminated (Summer, 2012)
Received the knowledge of Holly Durst's engagement to 'Bachelor Pad' contestant Blake Julian on the season finale of 'Bachelor Pad 2' in an explosive segment that went viral (Sept. 12, 2011)
Released a self-titled debut EP album on iTunes, with singles including 'Stay Strong,' 'Running,' 'Everything You Can Do,' and 'My Kind of Girl' (July 2013)

Why he might be annoying:

He acted bit parts in episodes of All My Children and As the World Turns.
He had a lengthy, extremely complicated 'on-again-off-again' relationship with Holly Durst.
Erica Rose accused him of being 'fake' and 'phony' during his second run on 'Bachelor Pad.'
He and Holly originally announced their engagement in 2009 with the express intention of having a 'double wedding' (his brother was engaged to Bachelor Alum DeAnna Pappas).
The engagement was broken off, apparently by Holly Durst, in late 2010.
They got reengaged briefly in 2011, only to break it off again, this time at Stag's insistence.
They somehow thought it would be a good idea to play out the continued drama on the Big Brother-style gameshow 'Bachelor Pad' (presumably with naive hopes of finally reconciling).
He came off as emotional, jealous, and borderline possessive when Holly began showing interest in Blake Julian, acting shocked that after two broken engagements there was no spark left in their relationship.
He (understandably) didn't take to being blindsided on network television, and took several shots at Blake via Twitter in the following months ('Nobody likes going to the Dentist. Nobody.')

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a witty raconteur with an almost toxically likable persona.
Jake Pavelka admitted to being 'fascinated' by him.
He was publicly humiliated in front of millions of people and the involved participants blamed him for it later.
It was revealed during his 'home town' date with Jillian Harris, that he and his brother Stephen are identical twins (even their voices sound alike).
He wrote a popular series of children's books, 'Wesley's Stories,' which was published shortly after his 'Bachelorette' stint.
He and his brother also moved into the 'board game' market, producing a game called 'Mike and Dice' which they sold locally.
He was dogged throughout his time with the 'Bachelor' franchise that he might actually be a closeted gay, with some homophobes even assigning him the cruel name 'Michael Fagliano.'
He was a close second for Entertainment Weekly's 'Favourite Reality Show Personality' losing to The Voice's Dia Frampton (2011).
His back-to-back 'Bachelor Pad' seasons saw him walk away with over half of the competition 'roses' with his physicality (synchronized swimming, Cirque-du-Soleil, 'egg-throwing,' etc.)
He displayed an almost superhuman level of self-control during the 'Bachelor Pad' finale when he learned of the engagement, still finding it in himself to 'share' the prize money with Holly when many believed he would opt to 'keep it.'
Its fair to say that 'Bachelor Nation' fans were - and in some cases still are - more incensed about the stunt producers pulled on him than the involved parties were (case in point, Stag got over it and married, in 2014).
He asked WetPaint not to air a joke he made during an interview about Chris Harrison's having a 'tiny wiener' but they released it anyway.
