Why he might be annoying:

He is known for his large chin that gives him the square jaw marine look.
He wore a hat and sunglasses to every match.
During the early Gulf War, he played the role of an Iraqi commander.
His gimmick got a lot of heat from the fans, and he was hated for years.
Vince McMahon claimed his commander act was so intense that they had to move WrestleMania VII from the Los Angeles Olympic Stadium to a sports complex in fear of being shot in the open stadium. The real story is that ticket sales were slow so they moved to a smaller capacity arena.
His act as the WWF Commissioner during the late 90's didn't get over with the fans.
He named his dog Lt. Lardmouth.

He has been invited to the White House by George Bush, James Carter, Bill Clinton, and Ronald Reagan.
He helps anti-drug and ill children's charities.
He stands as one of the greatest World Heavyweight Champions in wrestling history.
He was part of the G.I. Joe cartoon and action figure series, not as an enemy, but as an American general.
He still often makes appearances and wrestles on WWE television.
