The Resume

Why they might be annoying:

They are basically a poor Canadian's Captain Janks/'Stuttering' John.
Their phone pranks deplete the resources and take up the valuable time of public servants/dignitaries.
They directed their early pranks at local Canadian and French politicians (including French Presidents Jacques Chirac and Nicolas Sarkozy).
The Chirac prank involved tricking the President into thinking he was speaking with then Canadian President-elect Stephen Harper.
They have been incorrectly credited with a prank call to Queen Elizabeth II, which was in fact placed by another CKOI-FM host, Pierre Brassard.
One of their pranks involved successfully fooling Britney Spears by pretending to be Celine Dion and suggesting she sing a duet with Tiger Woods that would have been titled 'Let's Make a Hole in One' (Spears responded with enthusiasm).
They came to national attention after prank calling then-Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, posing as Nicolas Sarkozy. The call lasted six-minutes and proved damaging to the campaign's image (Nov. 1, 2008).

Why they might not be annoying:

They met as classmates at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in Montréal.
Their pranks are usually greeted with good humor by the celebrities they target.
Their first brush with publicity was presenting Canadian Parliament leader Gilles Duceppe with a petition to reduce gas prices (accompanied by a man dressed in a Tiger mascot suit).
Their Chirac-Collins prank was rated by the BBC as one of the 30 Best Moments in Radio History (2007).
They gave more than 300 interviews following the Palin prank, and were even flown to New York to appear on The Early Show.
In 2007, they succeeded in calling into the Situation Room during the Bush Presidency, again posing as Sarkozy (even though the two Presidents had spoken earlier - literally the same day).
The censored recording of their prank was not made public for nearly two years, when CKOI aired the stunt on April Fools Day (the delay was due to an agreement with the US government to wait until Bush had left office - due to security concerns).
Who'da thunk a couple third-rate shock jocks could succeed so many times at punking esteemed world leaders for laughs!
