Why they might be annoying:

They like to dress up in glamorous clothing and put on a lot of eyeliner.
They put a lot of political ideas and language into their music.
After the release of 'Everything Must Go,' they were supposed to be on an American tour with Oasis but it got cancelled after a big feud.
They have no interest in American music labels and most of their albums are rare to find in America.
Richey carved the words, '4 Real' in his arm during an interview.
Richey mutilated some of his body parts and had a few tattoos.
    They are pro Fidel Castro.

Why they might not be annoying:

They're are a unique music type, blending psychedelic rock, britpop, soft gothic rock, alternative and new-wave.
On February 1, 1995, Richey checked out of a London hotel and went back to his apartment, he then disappeared leaving important items there including his credit card and passport.
His abandoned car was found within a week on the Severen Bridge, a bridge that was common for suicides and he was presumed dead.
Many fans still believe that Richey isn't dead and that he just left music for a while. There have been some 'sightings' since then.
They've been compared to Radiohead, Pulp, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Verve, Stereophonics and Nirvana.
They're influenced by The Clash, The Sex Pistols and U2.
'Everything Must Go' was a huge hit all over the world (except America) and it went multi-platinum, winning them many awards for it.
'This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours' was a huge hit all over the world, also going multi-platinum, gaining them awards and a lot of public interest.
James said: 'We came to feel we were a part of a culture that didn't exist anymore. We wanted to believe in something and didn't find anything to believe in. We wanted to attach some new-found intelligence or theory to the place and class we came from. But we were always confused, always contradictory, always very suspicious.'
