His other nickname was 'Slats.'
He played on four different teams in the 1953 calendar year.
Despite his numbers in his career, he only appeared in one All-Star Game.
He guided the Knicks to their first three NBA Finals appearances and lost in all three of them (1951-1953).
His coaching career was short-lived and his overall coaching record was 53-103.
