He often runs his own agendas, his way, and is viewed by many as arrogant.
For the past few years his Government has been plagued with scandals.
He continues to lead the Liberal Party, despite getting on in age.
He is often viewed as the 'Best of the Worst' among his rivals when it comes to elections.
He has a French accent.
He is arrogant.
During his term, the Quebec Referendum to break up the country was voted on (1995).
He sometimes disagrees with the U.S., just to show off.
Why he might not be annoying
He shares a birthday with the very first Canadian PM, Sir. John A. MacDonald.
Mr. Chrétien was a Liberal organizer and by the time Jean was 15 year old, he was distributing political pamphlets and attending Liberal rallies.
He worked his way up the ranks.
His Liberal party decimated the Tory Government in the 1993 election, reducing them to only 2 seats.
He has been elected PM with a majority Government 3 consecutive times, the only person to do so in recent memory.
He is often viewed as a teflon Prime Minister.
He is deaf in one ear.
He has a crooked mouth.
He has dyslexia.
Graduated with a degree in law at Laval University.
He adopted a son.
During September 11th, he allowed U.S. planes to land in Canada.
As minister of Justice, he appointed Canada's first woman Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (1982).
He opposed the Quebec Referendum and spoke out against it (1995).
