    Founded by Confederate Civil War veterans Captain John C. Lester, Major James R. Crowe, John D. Kennedy, Calvin Jones, Richard R. Reed and Frank O. McCord (1866)
    Membership roles are much smaller than they say
    Have a small budget due to limited financial backing
    Current activities include public rallies and protests, mass mailings, leafletting, 'Adopt-A-Highway' programs and the Internet
    They despise Jews and African Americans, claiming Jews are the devil and African Americans are animals
    Among their celebrated members are David Duke, Daniel Carver and Mary Bacon
    Uniform is a white hood and white robe
    Activities include burning crosses on the lawns of their enemies
    Most young white supremacists consider the Klan to be ineffective, filled with ridiculous old-timers.
    The Klan poses almost no threat to their targets.
    They hate African Americans, Latinos, Jews, liberals, gays, 'deviants,' and anyone they consider non-white.
    Although Klansmen attack African Americans as sponging off the government, many Klansmen receive food stamps and other forms of government assistance.
    They scapegoat others to explain their lack of success, claiming other groups victimize them.
    They believe the Klan never attacked innocent victims, rather they are responding for the God-given rights of whites.
    Revival and renewed interest in the Klan sparked from the 1915 D.W. Griffith controversial movie 'Birth of a Nation.'
    Senators, congressmen, governors, judges and even President Harry Truman joined the Klan.
    Truman was only a member for a short time. He left after an anti-Catholic tirade.
    They have ready made ghost costumes for October 31st.
    Their hoods hide their ugly faces.
    They are usually uneducated 'poor white trash' who are easily bullied.
    South Park likes to make fun of them.
