The Resume

    Born in Morocco
Birth name is Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni
Acted in 'The Four Feathers' and 'The Physician'
Portrayed Satan in History Channel's 'The Bible'
Appearance on the series generated controversy after social media pointed out that he resembled President Barack Obama

Why he might be annoying:

He sports a rat-tail/pony-tail in public appearances.
He became the center of controversy after Glenn Beck tweeted 'Does Satan look EXACTLY like Obama? Yes!' during the episode's airing.
This was followed by Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity devoting sizable air time to the 'Obama-Satan lookalike' scandal days after the episode aired.
The implication was that the producers were attempting to send a 'political message,' even though producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey both flatly denied they had any such intention. History Channel also denounced it as a 'false connection' in a public statement.
He admitted to being an 'unknown actor' whose profile was greatly raised by the controversy his appearance generated.
He joked to the Associated Press: 'Satan taught me how to manage my close-ups, because Satan didn't feel anything, didn't suffer anything.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He is fluent in French, Spanish, Italian, English and Arabic.
He worked as a flight attendant for the Royal Air Maroc airline.
He first started acting on the Spanish stage, in his early twenties.
His debut movie role was as a police inspector in a French film.
He has appeared in a number of Bible-era films.
He called conspiracy theories that he was made up to resemble President Obama 'nonsense.'
He met his newfound fame with good humour, joking: 'Some good has come out of this. Before, I knew who Obama was, and now he knows me, and if he has time I'd like to invite him and his family for couscous in Morocco.'
