Why they might be annoying
Despite playing in the NBA since 1968, they have yet to win a title.
They lost both of their appearances in the NBA Finals (1976, 1993).
When they went up by two games in a playoff series against the Rockets, a Phoenix newspaper called Houston 'Choke City.' It was the Suns who ended up choking in that series (1994).
Jason Kidd was arrested with domestic abuse charges while with the Suns.
After they traded Kidd to the Nets, the Nets got better while the Suns got worse.
They put their abbreviation on their jerseys, PHX.
Why they might not be annoying
They had the NBA's first mascot, the Phoenix Suns Gorilla.
Even though they lost in both of their NBA Final appearances, they gave very valiant efforts.
They played in the 1976 NBA Finals after compiling a 42-40 regular season record.
Even though they lost that series, their Game 5 triple overtime loss to the Celtics is considered one of the NBA's greatest games.
They won the first regular season game ever played outside North America by any major pro league (Tokyo).
They scored 107 points in a half against the Nuggets (1990).
