    They have one of the ugliest logos, a profile of a boar with his lower fang exposed over his snout.
    He insisted and legally obligated that Boar's Head be controlled by his descendants and their immediate family members.
    His descendent, also named Frank Brunckhorst, donated nearly a million dollars to the Democratic party.
    The company moved its headquarters from Brooklyn to Sarasota Florida (2001).
    He was secretive and kept his company that way. Only through lawsuits is information about Boar's Head made public.
    His company is extraordinarily litigious.
    They sued Boar's Head Red Beer for trademark infringement. They won (December 1994).
    They sue anyone who comes close to infringing on their logo.
    Trademark attorney Brian McNamara, told a Floridian newspaper 'The company has embarked on a very aggressive campaign to protect its mark.'
    Although they do not sell product in Canada, they sued to protect their trademark there. A Canadian food chain sold a similar packed deli product. Boars Head lost that case (1992).
    Many of the employees think they work for 'Boar's Head' but actually work for 'Frank Brunckhorst Co.' ... and there is even F.B. Associates.
    They are picky as to what supermarkets can sell their product.
    Safeway Supermarket claims they pull their product because they don't like supermarkets pushing their own store brand.
    They refused to sell Boar's Head to Pathmark, however an independent distributor was placing their product in Pathmark. They cut off that distributor. He sued on Anti-Trust laws, but lost the case.
    They have removed their entire line of products at their whim from major supermarket chains such as Tom Thumb, Randall's and Genuardi's supermarkets.
    He was the first to brand name a cold cut.
    Boar's Head is known for high quality, refusing to use extenders or by-products.
    His delicatessen distribution started in New York City but grew to cover the U.S.
    Originally the product was delivered by horse and wagon.
    Administrative Assistant, Bernadette Scelta, sued Boar's Head for sexual harassment after her affair with her supervisor ended. The jury ruled against her and the judge called her lawsuit frivolous (1998-2000).
    The company grew to have annual sales of over a billion dollars.
    The company has a sense of humor; when they found out people were paying extra for Boar's Head but getting a cheaper quality meat they ran an ad campaign. The ads proclaimed 'Something's not kosher in the ham business.'
    They have a consumer complaint line to report unscrupulous deli owners.
