Forward for the New York Rangers
Previously played for Frisk Asker (Norway), Modo Hockey (Sweden) and Metallurg Magnitogorsk (Russia)
He was passed over in the NHL Entry Draft, as a result of his small stature.
He was embroiled in a contract dispute with the Rangers, which played a factor in his decision to go to the KHL prior to the lockout.

He was discovered by NHL scouts at the Vancouver Olympics when he played for Norway.
He is the second Norwegian, behind Patrick Thoresen to play in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
He became a fan favorite amongst Ranger fans due to his small stature and gritty play.
He defied the odds a year after his injury and posted career high numbers in all offensive categories.
