Why Playmakers might be annoying

It was cancelled after only one season, not because of poor ratings, but pressure from the 'NFL.'
It was criticized for being predictable and sensationalist.
Why Playmakers might not be annoying
It gave 'ESPN' a (short) chance to do original programming.
Several players spoke out and agreed with the accuracy of the lifestyles of the characters.
It received acclaim from TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly.
After the show was cancelled, some of the writers went to write a similar video game, called 'Blitz: The League.'
