He did not score a point in his first two seasons in the NHL (combined 12 games).
He gave Markus Naslund a vicious check that wound up giving him a concussion and caused Naslund to miss three games (February 2004).
In retaliation, Todd Bertuzzi attacked him because he injured Markus Naslund in February (March 3, 2004).
He is a pretty boy.

He attended Harvard.
He plays for one of the NHL's many powerhouse Western Conference teams.
He was sucker-punched twice by Todd Bertuzzi and had his head driven into the ice, causing two of his vertebrae to break.
He also suffered many deep cuts into his face.
All of his teammates made a trip to the Vancouver General Hospital to visit him.
During their visit, he joked: 'Looks worse than it is, though, right? I've just got to wear this stylish brace for a while.'
All signs point to him going through a full recovery.
