Why he might be annoying:

One of his code names was ‘Bambi.’
The CIA suspected that he was involved in smuggling cocaine in Venezuela.
He was also reportedly involved in plots to overthrow the governments of Guatemala and Guyana, and to assassinate Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
His comment about a tourist killed by his hotel bombings: ‘The Italian was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I sleep like a baby.’
His plan to assassinate Castro involved planting 200 pounds of dynamite to blow up an auditorium at the University of Panama while Castro addressed 200 students.
He was declared a ‘risk to national security’ by the Department of Homeland Security.
The governments of Cuba and Venezuela accused the US of hypocrisy in the ‘War on Terror’ for refusing to extradite him.

Why he might not be annoying:

An assassination attempt in Guatemala left him with a severe speech impediment when a bullet grazed his tongue (February, 1990).
The US refused extradition requests from Cuba and Venezuela, claiming he might be tortured in those countries.
He was considered a hero by much of the Cuban exile community. (Illustrating the saying, 'One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.')
