Why she might be annoying
Whenever her husband, Peter Geach, would refer to her in print, he would call her 'Miss Anscombe.'
Wittgenstein would always call her 'old man.'
She converted to Catholicism and accepted their dogma without question.
She was opposed to contraception.
She convinced Ludwig Wittgenstein to take last rights.
Why she might not be annoying
She was the chair of the philosophy department at Oxford University from 1970-1986.
If it weren't for her, much of Wittgenstien's work would have gone unpublished.
She refused to rely on the interpretations of others, and translated the works of Plato, Aristotle, St. Thomas Aquinas, Rene Descartes, Gottlob Frege, Ludwig Wittgenstein on her own.
Even though they were both devoted Christians, she refuted C. S. Lewis' attack on naturalism.
