Why they might be annoying
They did drugs and smoked.
Joey and Charles dropped out of college to start the band.
When asked why the Pixies broke up, Charles answered, ''I guess you have me to blame for that. Same old same old, you know? Lack of fun. Not getting along. General misery. Putting on a smiley face at the gig and things are really quiet back stage. Less joyful than it had been earlier.'
Why they might not be annoying
They were one of the most influential bands of the eighties.
They emerged from the rotten swill and synth-pop that America loved to love so much.
They influenced such bands as Nirvana, Radiohead, Bush, Polly Jean Harvey, Blur and more.
