He pushed the Cuban economy so fast into total Communism, that he temporarily ruined it.
His image has become such a stereotype for wannabe revolutionaries that some consider it the 'Mickey Mouse of Marxism.'
He wrote a book called 'Guerrilla Warfare' in 1961 that was probably read by the governments of the Congo and Bolivia that he was trying to overthrow.
He was a ruthless commander who unhesitatingly shot defectors and supporters of the defeated president Batista.
His real birthday is said to be May 14, 1928, but is listed on his birth certificate as June 14, 1928, so it wouldn't be thought he was conceived out of wedlock.
He suffered from severe asthma.
He smoked cigars.
He tried to start a socialist revolution in the Congo (April, 1965).
He tried to start a socialist revolution in Bolivia (November, 1966).
Along with Fidel and Raul Castro, Che Guevara was instrumental in the overthrow of the brutal Fulgencio Batista regime in Cuba.
Che Guevara was appointed President of the National Bank of Cuba and was the man chiefly responsible for pushing Fidel Castro and Cuba towards a communist economy.

'Che' means buddy.
He studied medicine, including leprology.
At 22, he went on a 'motorcycle' expedition throughout South America.
He was an avid student of the writings of Karl Marx, Friederich Engels, and Sigmund Freud.
Many women fell in love with him, particularly hippie chicks and political activists.
He overthrew the nasty Fulgencio Batista regime in Cuba.
His death by Bolivian soldiers was suspected of being guided by U.S. Green Beret and CIA operatives.
Many decades after his death, he still inspires beautiful hippie kicks to become more politically aware.
He wrote a fun Jack Kerouac 'On the Road' style book called 'Motorcycle Diaries.'
