Names are not really his thing (first 'Phanom Yeerum' then 'Tony Jaa').
He did a lot of uncredited stunt work, meaning he put himself in harms way in the place of an actor and received no credit for it.
While he is an unquestionably skilled martial artist, his acting skills are questionable.
After two years of studying English, he still had a poor grasp of the language.
He is basically a poor man's Jackie Chan.

He uses no wires, no CGI and has virtually no regard for his safety while performing stunts.
He is highly skilled in Muay Thai Boxing, Tae Kwon Do and sword play.
In his arduous preparation for 'Ong-Bak' he travelled the Thai countryside studying long abandoned Muay Thai Boxing moves from the few remaining masters of the art.
He acknowledges Jackie Chan as the master of his profession and his biggest influence.
