Why he might be annoying
His nickname is 'Jiggy.'
He won the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP in 2003, despite his team losing during the Stanley Cup finals.
As a result, he was heavily booed by the New Jersey Devils crowd, who wanted someone from their Stanley Cup-winning team to receive it.
With the beard he had during the 2003 Stanley Cup playoffs, a sizable amount of people on ESPN.com thought that he looked like Brad Pitt.
Why he might not be annoying
In the 2003 Stanley Cup playoffs, he led a seventh-seeded Mighty Ducks team to their first-ever Stanley Cup finals.
His accomplishments during those playoffs included a shutout streak of 217 minutes and 54 seconds, which is the fifth best NHL playoff streak, the most saves ever by a goalie in his first playoff game (63), and up until the Stanley Cup finals, he had a 12-2 record and a 1.22 goals against average.
During the 2002-2003 season, he had a streak of 237 minutes and seven seconds without giving up a goal, which is the third longest streak in the history of the NHL.
When growing up, he looked up to Patrick Roy.
