He has beady eyes.
Despite the fact that he contributed to 'The Office' as much as Ricky Gervais, he is not known as well as Ricky (and is virtually his assistant).
When asked in an interview how one could do what he does, he said: 'Gain lots of work-experience. Build up a good CV. Be dynamic and pro-active. Believe in yourself. Trust your instincts. Or do what I did and ride the coat tails of a minor celebrity (Gervais).'
The first record he ever bought was 'Ebeneezer Goode.'

He studied film and literature at the University of Warwick.
He won two Broadcasting Press Guild Awards and two BAFTAs (shared with the other writers of 'The Office').
He doesn't seem to mind being in the shadow of Gervais and they work well as a team.
His comedic influences include 'The Simpsons,' Laurel and Hardy, Monty Python and 'This is Spinal Tap.
He is able to make fun of himself.
