Why they might be annoying:

The band's early years were very turbulent, with members coming and going.
Jens' vocals are hard to understand.
Their style of metal can be a little difficult to listen to, due to the odd time signatures and arrangements.
Fredrik severed his finger in a carpentry accident and drummer Tomas injured his hand in a grinder, forcing the band to lay low for a few years.

Why they might not be annoying:

While their style of metal is an acquired taste, it's been widely praised for it's precision and unique sound.
They've been an important part of the extreme metal scene.
Ozzy Osbourne's son, Jack, was able to get them to play on Ozzfest.
They combine death metal, thrash metal, 'math' metal and complex jazz-like time arrangements to create a sound that is truly all their own.
