Why she might be annoying
She reported to the Citadel overweight.
Her lawyer called warnings about Faulkner's fitness from the school physician 'a smear campaign.'
On her first day of drills, she collapsed from heat exhaustion.
She spent a full week in the infirmary, while male cadets who suffered heat exhaustion were released the same day.
Less than a week after announcing, 'I am in this until I graduate,' she dropped out.
Why she might not be annoying
She received a NOW Woman of Courage award.
She received death threats and had to be accompanied by Federal marshals at the Citadel.
Her family's house was vandalized.
A popular Citadel t-shirt read, '1,952 Bulldogs and One Bitch.'
She said, 'The law is still the law, no matter if I succeed in the Citadel or not.'
She paved the way for others; in 2005, 6% of the Citadel's cadets were women.
