Why he might be annoying:

    He acquired his job title through nepotism.
    He was very reclusive.
    He named his son after himself.
    Many Detroit Lion Fans blamed him for the team's dismal showings.
    Despite many fan protests and lackluster seasons, he refused to fire team president Matt Millen.
    He was too cheap to field a contending team.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He modernized a design of his father's Continental which would later be known as the Continental Mark II.
    He was a member of the U.S. Naval Corps in World War II.
    He earned an economic bachelor of science degree at Yale.
    He kept Ford a family run business.
    While he was too cheap to spend money building a contending team, he helped finance construction of Ford Field.
