He tried to hide his first name, but revealed it, in order to run for California governor in the 2003 recall.
He won a law suit again his brother, Ron for ripping off his act when Ron promoted himself as 'The Real Gallagher'
What is it with Gallagher brothers, can't they just get along (see Oasis)?
His audience brings umbrellas, raincoats and plastic covering for when he does the sledge-o-matic bit.
Why he might not be annoying
Despite living an extremely healthy lifestyle, including eating right and exercising, he had a heart attack (2000).
He allowed his brother Ron to do a similar act as long as it was not on TV or promoted to confuse people as to which Gallagher was appearing.
