Wrestler

The Resume

    (May 7, 1965-May 23, 1999)
    Brother of Bret Hart
Wrestled for the WWF, Calgary Stampede Wrestling and Japan
Former WWF Intercontinental Champion, WWF European Champion, WWF Tag Team Champion and 1994 King of the Ring

Why he might be annoying:

Many claim nepotism is what got him into the business, since his father, Stu, is a wrestling legend and was the promoter of Calgary Stampede Wrestling and gave Owen his first job there.
His first job in the WWF was as the Blue Blazer, a masked wrestler acting like a wrestling super hero.
He was known for playing jokes on people, especially prank phone calls.
He could never get the push to main event status.
Since none of his nicknames had long-lasting status, he changed them often and had about five of them in the WWF alone.
His death caused the WWF to be trashed by the media and it promoted the negativity of wrestling.
When he died, the show that he was killed on kept going, which angered many fans.
His death was controversial, making many ask the question, ‘How far is too far?'

Why he might not be annoying:

He died when the harness he was attached to broke and he fell from mid-air, landed head first into a turnbuckle.
He didn't want to do the stunt because it was dangerous, but did it because it was his job.
While he was falling, he told the referee and ring technician to get out of the way, possibly saving their lives.
His death was considered a huge loss not only to the WWF, but also to all of wrestling.
Wrestling promotions that he never worked for acknowledged his death and expressed their condolences.
On Monday Night Raw, the night after he died, the whole show was dedicated to him and featured the bell being rung 10 times with all the WWF employees on the ramp.
Throughout the show, wrestlers and WWF personnel, many in tears, commented on Owen and his life and praised what a great wrestler and human being he was.
He was an expert amateur wrestler and high-flyer.
His upset win over his brother, Bret, at WrestleMania 10 catapulted him to superstardom and the match was highly praised and considered one of the best matches in WrestleMania history.
His feud with Bret was named Feud of the Year in PWI in 1994.
He was named Rookie of the Year in PWI in 1987.
He purposely put on bad matches just to get a laugh out of the wrestlers.
