Citizens are called Ivorians.
They speak French with 60 native dialects (Dioula the most widely spoken).
Capital is Yamoussoukro (since 1983) but most countries keep their embassies in Abidjan.
It's currency is called the 'Communaute Financiere Africaine Franc' (CFAF).
It is a producer of cannabis, mostly for internal consumption.
Why Ivory Coast (Cote D'Ivoire) might not be annoying
It is one of the few black dominated countries to keep its colonial name (Côte d'Ivoire).
It is one of the largest producers and exporters of coffee.
It accepted over 1/3 of million refugees escaping the civil war in Liberia.
Its forests are primarily filled with oil palm trees, from which they get palm oil.
