Murdered by ex-wife Betty Broderick

He left his wife of 15 years for a younger woman who was also his secretary.
He allegedly verbally abused his first wife by telling her how fat and stupid she was.
He also allegedly manipulated his first wife to the point she became insane.

He calmly endured harassment from his ex-wife.
He was killed seven months after he remarried.
