    Supermodel Niki Taylor and tennis star Anna Kournikova used to attend many home games because of boyfriends they had on the team (Niki used to date forward Rob Niedermayer and Anna used to date right winger Pavel Bure).
    They used to have great rivalries with the Philadelphia Flyers and the New Jersey Devils.
    They celebrated 50 consecutive sellouts at the Miami Arena (1997).
    Dino Ciccarelli became the 9th player to score 600 goals in a Panthers jersey (1998).
    The teams ownership founded the Florida Sports Foundation.
