With the possible exception of Kyan and Ted, they are extremely effeminate and stereotypical gays.

Why Queer Eye for the Straight Guy might not be annoying
They are enthusiastic about what they do.
They all seem very sweet and pleasant.
Thom replaced Kirstie Alley as the spokesperson for Pier 1.
They don't take themselves too seriously.
They give good advice.
They aren't ashamed of the sexuality.
It demonstrates that straight men and gay men get along just fine.
