    He was largely overshadowed by his famous brother.
    His name sounds similar to the golfer Tommy Aaron.
    He was sent into the minor leagues twice during the mid-1960s.
    He batted only once in the 1969 NLCS.

    He, along with his brother Hank, were the first set of brothers as teammates to play in a League Championship Series.
    He hit a walk-off home run during the 9th inning in a game against the Chicago Cubs.
    His 13 career home runs and Hank Aaron's 755 home runs were combined together into a record of 768 home runs, most home runs hit by a set of brothers.
    He is the namesake for the Richmond Braves' (Braves minor league team) MVP Award, The Tommie Aaron Memorial Award.
    He died of leukemia 11 days after his 45th birthday.
