He is a spokesperson for the 'Pet Travel Safety campaign.'
He was hospitalized after trying to rescue a Rottweiler. The dog injured his ribs as it was defending his home.
He was also hospitalized after a German Shepard bit his right hand.
He helped rescue abandoned animals around the World Trade Center after the 9-11 attack (2001).
He appeared in a National Geographic documentary called 'Pigeon Murders.'
He worked as a kennel assistance at the ASPCA (1975).
