As a child actor, he guest starred on his father's sitcom, 'Growing Pains.'
His 2003 single 'When I Get You Alone' sampled Walter Murphy's disco classic 'A Fifth of Beethoven.'
He performed using only his surname 'Thicke' until 2005.
Because of his soulful music and voice, many audiences were surprised he was a white guy.

In 2006, he chopped off his trademark long hair for a classier look.
He's literally a blue-eyed soul singer.
He's a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
His musical influences are Prince, Led Zepplin, and Marvin Gaye.
