    His translation of Threepenny Opera was quite tame compared to the original German lyrics.
    He fought for the rights of the poor and oppressed.
    He refused to testify before the whole unamerican activities committee.
    He was blacklisted for that stance.
    'The Cradle Will Rock' expressed the plight of the country's poor.
    He was murdered in a robbery attempt.
