Why he might be annoying
Because of his drunken ramblings, one evening, three of his knights murdered, Archbishop Thomas Beckett in Canterbury Cathedral.
He had many mistresses even though he was married to Eleanor of Aquitaine - considered the most beautiful woman in the world (at that time).
One of his sons was King John I.
His last name, is the peculiar Curtmantle.
Why he might not be annoying
He introduced trial by jury to England.
He recovered some of Northern England.
He died of a fever, knowing that his sons were in rebellion against him.
He was played by Peter O'Toole in two classic films: 'Becket' and 'The Lion In Winter.'
He is considered one of England's greatest leaders.
