The Resume

    (December 27, 1964- )
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Birth name is Theresa Ellen Randle
Portrayed Dr. Cornelia Banks on the short-lived series, 'State of Mind' (2007)
Guest-starred on episodes of 'A Different World,' 'Seinfeld,' 'Duckman,' and 'Law and Order: Criminal Intent'
Acted in 'Maid to Order,' 'Easy Wheels,' 'Heart Condition,' 'King of New York,' 'Jungle Fever,' 'Beverly Hills Cop III,' 'Bad Boys,' 'Girl 6,' and 'Space Jam'
Portrayed Natalie Cole in the Lifetime original movie 'Living for Love' (2000)

Why she might be annoying:

Her acting was criticized as limited.
She was sometimes confused with Robin Givens.
Her career waned in the early 2000s and fizzled out completely in 2010, with little explanation.
Rather appropriately, as of 2017, her last movie title was 'Shit Year' (talk about going out with a bang).
She portrayed Juanita Jordan in 'Space Jam' despite bearing little physical resemblance to her in terms of either shape or size (may as well have paid the real person to just stand there and nod).

Why she might not be annoying:

Roland Martin was a huge fan.
She earned her first role at the Los Angeles Inner City Cultural Center.
She began her performing career by studying traditional/modern dance and jazz.
She had a rare leading role in 'Girl 6,' as an out-of-work actress who finds work as an exploited phone sex worker.
She both did a topless scene and spot-on impersonations of Pam Grier and Dorothy Dandridge in 'Girl 6.'
She was nominated for Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Supporting Actress in the Horror Genre for 'Spawn' (1998).
She would be perfect to portray Michelle Obama (despite being comparably more 'petite').
