    Best known for his role as paramedic Johnny Gage on the TV series Emergency! (1972-77)
    Acted in the TV soap operas 'General Hospital' (1992-1993), 'Loving' (1987-1990, 1993-1995),' 'The City' (1995-97) and 'As The World Turns' (2003-2005)
    Also acted in the movies 'Enemy Action (1999),' 'Time Share (2000)' and 'Captured (2000)'

    His name has that stuffy, snobbish, upper crust, muckity-muck quality to it.
    He divorced his first wife after 13 years of marriage (1978-91).
    He was once engaged to 'Three's Company's' Joyce DeWitt, but called the engagement off.
    His career has not taken off like he'd hoped, eking out a living via the soap opera circuit.
    He's been nominated for 4 Soap Opera Digest Awards without winning any (1990, 1995-97).

    He is half Seminole Native American.
    He graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
    He was forced to cut his long hair for his role on Emergency! to meet the image of existing Los Angeles County Fire Department regulations.
    His 13 acre ranch and many of its animals were destroyed by a California wildfire (October 15, 1978).
    He is a committee member of Project 51, a non-profit group honoring the impact Emergency! had on emergency/rescue services and members of the profession.
    He also supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the World Wildlife Fund.
