    A D.C. native with a history of political involvement, he's considered a 'Washington insider'.
    He helped draft Kenneth Starr's impeachment referral against President Clinton.
    Days after his nomination, reports of previous massive credit card debt surfaced, with one major expenditure being Washington Nationals season tickets.
    As with any Supreme Court nominee, the only thing many people cared about would be his take on 'Roe v. Wade'.
    He makes no secret of being a devout Catholic, praising D.C.s 'vibrant' Catholic community as he accepted his Supreme Court nomination.
    Though vetted by the conservative Federalist Society, some on the far right didn't believe Kavanaugh was conservative enough.
    He was part of the GOP legal team which called for an end to Florida recount in the closely contested 2000 presidential race.
    He earned his J.D. from Yale Law School.
    He lectured at Harvard Law School and was reportedly well-liked by his students.
    He coached his daughters' basketball teams.
    Some analysts viewed him as more moderate than extreme as a Supreme Court nominee.
    Though disagreeing with him politically, many of his Democratic D.C. neighbors spoke highly of him.
    He volunteered at a Catholic Charities soup kitchen.
    He ran a couple of Boston Marathons.
