He fought the Allies in the First World War.
He was one of the founders of the Nazi Party and at one point was second-in-command only to Hitler himself.
He participated in the unsuccessful Nazi coup at the Beer Hall Putsch and was imprisoned (November 8-9, 1923).
He is considered the discoverer of Heinrich Himmler and helped promote him through the Nazi ranks.
The SA organization he founded were Nazi thugs that beat or murdered anyone in Hitler's way.
He was friends with Ernst Roehm.
He was instrumental to the rise of Nazism in Germany.

He was one of the Nazi members who opposed Hitler.
Both Hitler and Hermann Goering considered him a traitor to the party after he resigned.
He was executed by SS troops along with Ernst Roehm and other SA members on the 'The Night of Long Knives.'
He was heartlessly gunned down by the very men he was once allied with.
