Why Mauritania might be annoying
Land is primarily a hot, dry, dusty desert.
Its people suffer dust/sand-laden sirocco wind and periodic droughts.
Infant mortality rate is high, about 8%.
Life expectancy is only fifty years old.
Some of the languages they speak are Hasaniya Arabic, Pular, Soninke, Wolof and French.
Only ¼ of the adult women and ½ of the men can read and write.
The official name is Al Jumhuriyah al Islamiyah al Muritaniyah.
It has two radio stations and only one TV station.
Why Mauritania might not be annoying
It has an ancient name, Mauritania was west of Numidia. (Where was Numidia? East of Mauritania).
For centuries, there wasn't any Mauritania, until the French Overseas Territory in West Africa took the name.
The people are Moors. The capital is Nouakchott.
