    She got her break into movies thanks to an uncle with connections at MGM.
    She was so youthful looking that during the shooting of her first film, a social worker demanded that she return to school.
    She relocated to England to try to land weightier roles, then retired when that did not pan out.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She had a second career managing the Elizabeth Arden Studio in Beverly Hills.
    She was married to studio exec James Blakeley for 65 years until his death.
    Following the deaths of Gloria Stuart in 2010 and Barbara Kent in 2011, she became the last surviving WAMPAS Baby Star.
