Why he might be annoying
He is extremely cantankerous.
His junior career was more noteworthy for off-ice issues than his performance.
While in Windsor, he fought teammate Akim Aliu in practice knocking out three of Aliu's teeth in the process.
He was suspended for deliberately hitting an opposing player with a blind side punch (2006).
In a pre-season game, he viciously nailed Dean McAmmond with a head shot, knocking McAmmond to the ice unconsious (September 25, 2007).
He earned a 25 game suspension as a result.
Why he might not be annoying
He underwent counseling following the hazing incident in Windsor.
He was an integral part of Canada's back to back gold medal winning World Junior hockey teams.
He is deaf in his right ear as a result of otosclerosis.
He admits that his intensity has been a factor in some of his on-ice issues.
When focused, he is considered a power forward.
