Collapsed at a fashion show during Montevideo's 'Fashion Week'

She developed an eating disorder after a suggestion she lose weight to further her modelling career.
Months prior to hitting the runway, she consumed only vegetables and diet Coke.
In the days leading up to her final catwalk appearance she ate nothing.

She died from heart failure caused by the eating disorder.
Despite quick medical care, she passed way.
Her death may have been the catalyst for Spain to outlaw the employment of ultra-thin models for fashion shows.
