She had an easy time of getting into the music industry with her mother Marcia having already been a huge star in Australia for years.
She is divorced (from INXS member Kirk Pengilly).
She made an unsuccessful attempt at a career in the US.
Her greatest hits album performed poorly on the charts and did nothing to revive her career.
She claims to have once had to break a female admirer’s heart by telling her that she’s ‘strictly dickly.’

She started out doing backing vocals for Jimmy Barnes and Kylie Minogue.
All of her collaborations with The Rockmelons were top 10 hits in Australia.
Her debut solo album remained at the top of the Australian charts for five weeks and earned her an ARIA Award for best debut artist in 1996.
She was the second black woman ever to play the role of Mary Magdalene in the stage production of ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ in 1992 (her mother was first).
She appeared on the sketch show ‘Comedy Inc’ to do a parody of her mother.
She ranked 74th (2002) in FHM Australia’s 100 Sexiest Women.
